For over a decade Jeffrey Chiao has focused his practice on business, trust and estate, and real estate litigation, and the defense of employers in employment disputes, including wrongful termination.  Jeffrey provides thoughtful client representation in all aspects of civil litigation, including discovery, dispositive motion, settlement, trial, and appeals.  Jeffrey believes in vigorously advocating on behalf of his client’s rights, but also balancing aggressive advocacy with intelligent cost-effective resolution.

Prior to joining Spinelli, Donald and Nott, Jeffrey had a published opinion in the California Court of Appeal, successfully representing his client in affirming a one-million-dollar judgment for fraud (Green Wood v. Forceman (2007) 156 Cal.App.4th 766).  In the federal courts, Jeffrey has obtained a Plaintiff’s summary judgment on a breach of contract action, and successfully appealed a federal court’s denial of contract indemnification attorneys’ fees.
